AEGIS Financial is partnering with the National Kidney Foundation!

The AEGIS Team is collecting canned beans that will be donated to Father Carr’s in Oshkosh. Every can donated, AEGIS Financial will donate $1 to the National Kidney Foundation! We’ll be collecting canned beans at our Oshkosh Office (530 N Koeller St) from August 6^th – September 21^st.

Why the National Kidney Foundation?

At AEGIS Financial, we seek out our clients and our employees to find organizations that they’re passionate about.  This quarter, Kristie Hennes, Executive Director of Operations & Client Experience, asked if we would be willing to sponsor the “National Kidney Foundation” in memory of her grandmother, Beverly Johnson that she recently lost to kidney disease and in honor of her mother, Karen Olver who too is suffering from the disease.

Kristie’s grandmother had been on dialysis for a little more than a year, 3 times a week. If you have ever known someone with this disease, dialysis may take up to 6 hours+ per treatment. These treatments can be painful and take a toll on the person with the disease and their family. Good news is that significant steps toward developing the world’s first bionic kidney are being made that could replace the need for dialysis or transplantation.

At AEGIS Financial, we hope you can join us to help the National Kidney Foundation make strides with this disease in hopes Kristie’s mother does not have to go through dialysis someday.
