AEGIS Cares | Day By Day Warming Shelter | Q4 Giving Plan

October 19th, 2017 | | AEGIS Cares

It’s hard to believe that 2017 is coming to a close. Even though the clock is ticking, there’s still time for us to give back to our community. For the 4th Quarter Giving Plan, we have chosen to partner with the Day By Day Warming Shelter of Oshkosh.

We were fascinated to learn that one of our very own clients served on the Day By Day Warming Shelter Board of Directors for 6 years. It touched our hearts to hear of the love and care she has for the shelter. In June, she chose to step down from the Board of Directors, so that someone new could provide insight and direction. Although she is no longer on the Board of Directors, she continues to serve as a committee member of human resources. The love and commitment she has to the shelter will never fade.

There are several areas in which the shelter is in need of help for this New Year. The area that stood out most was the Stuff the Shelter Wish List campaign. As we received the Stuff the Shelter Wish List we were blown away with the ongoing items that the shelter is in constant need of.

We are extending an invitation to you to help us come together as a bigger team, on a bigger mission to fill the shelter full!

If you feel encouraged to donate, we will be collecting the items in the lobby of our office beginning November 1st through December 21st. The AEGIS team will bring donated items to the Day By Day Warming Shelter on December 22nd as that evening we will be serving a home-cooked meal to those at the shelter and believe the timing is impeccable.

We are so thankful for your continued support with our previous AEGIS Cares Giving Plan campaigns. Together, hand and hand, we can make a greater impact in our community!
